Steve Marshall, COO of Frisco, Texas-basedCal’s Convenience stores, announced he is leaving the company, according to a post on his LinkedIn account.

Marshall posted on the social media platformthat he is “open to work” adding: “I'll really miss Cal's Convenience Inc. - operator of Stripes C-Stores where I'm employed currently… Whatever role I land in the future, I'll be sure to keep in mind the perceptions and stay true to my belief that no matter how high you reach in a company (from a title perspective), we should always remain servant leaders, identify talent and promote growth for both people and the organization we serve in.”

Marshall has been at the helm as COO since December of 2020. Prior to that role, he served as vice president of information technology, field services and business support and before that he was the director of information technology for Cal’s Convenience stores, which are spread across West Texas, New Mexico and Oklahoma.

Last month, Irving, Texas-based 7-Eleven Inc. entered into an agreement to acquire stores from Sunoco LP, Dallas, which includes Stripes convenience stores. Cal’s owns and operates more than 200 Stripes locations.

Cal’s Convenience and 7-Eleven did not respond to a CSP request for comment by posting time.
