WALTHAM, MASS. —Alltown Fresh, a convenience-store division of Global Partners LP, has launched a variety of contactless shopping methods to keep customers engaged during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Customers can order Alltown Fresh’s new Fresh Crates—boxes of protein, produce and pantry items—for pickup. Additionally, they can buy Alltown Fresh’s new pre-assembled meal prep kits, which serve a minimum of four people and include options such as Taco Night; Teriyaki Rice Bowls; Tomato Soup & Grilled Cheese; Chicken, Broccoli and Pasta Bake; and Fresh Falafel Wraps. Customers can pick up the meal kits by 5 p.m. if the order is placed before noon the same day.

"The Alltown Fresh team has acted quickly to create ways to ensure our customers are equipped with healthy options and the ability to shop for fresh groceries in these uncertain times," said Eric Slifka, CEO of Global Partners. "The health and safety of our guests and associates is always top of mind, and we're delighted to increase our contactless shopping options to make everyone's life a little bit easier."

In an exclusive interview, CSP Daily News recently spoke with Eric Slifka and Mark Cosenza, CEO and senior vice president of retail for Global Partners, respectively, about the future of the coronavirus pandemic and the state of the convenience-store industry. Listen to the interview or read it here.

Alltown Fresh has also implemented curbside pickup and delivery during this time and has partnered with third-party service Grubhub for the latter.

Waltham, Mass.-based Global Partners operates nearly 300 stores in the United States. The company is No. 26 on the Top 40 update to CSP’s 2019 Top 202 ranking of U.S. c-store chains by number of retail outlets. CSP will release the complete 2020 list in June.
