Chester's, Royal Buying Group Form Alliance

National c-store group to market foodservice program to membership

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- Ted Giles, CEO of Chester's International LLC, a leading fried chicken foodservice offering for the convenience store category, said that the company has partnered with Royal Buying Group, Inc. (RBG) in an alliance to market the Chester's branded offering to the 5,500 retail locations in Royal Buying Group's membership.

This partnership will provide increased visibility of the Chester's program to the locations within the RBG network, and will provide the Chester's brand with a significant expansion opportunity within the c-store [image-nocss] industry.

RBG, a merchandising and marketing company headquartered in Hinsdale, Ill., is an organization dedicated to maximizing sales and profitability of U.S. c-store and petroleum locations. It benefits its members by selecting, negotiating, implementing and tracking the best possible vendor programs on their behalf. RBG provides category management expertise and marketing support for its membership.

RBG currently represents more than 1,300 owners of more than 5,500 U.S. c-stores, college bookstores, truckstops and travel plaza centers.

Birmingham, Ala.-based Chester's offers quick-serve restaurant (QSR) concepts, with more than 1,500 Chester Fried licensed and Chester's franchised locations.
