Parker's Market Urban Gourmet Receives TripAdvisor Honor

Travel website recognizes c-store restaurant with certificate of excellence

SAVANNAH, Ga. -- The TripAdvisor travel website has honored Parker's Market Urban Gourmet, the Parker's convenience store company's flagship location, with a 2013 certificate of excellence.

TripAdvisor awards the certificates to businesses ranking in the top 10% worldwide for traveler feedback. In order to be recognized as a top-performing business on TripAdvisor, companies must receive overwhelmingly positive online endorsements from customers. TripAdvisor previously has ranked Parker's Market as the No. 4 restaurant in Savannah.

Parker's Market, located in downtown Savannah, serves breakfast, lunch and dinner daily. Highlights include a full breakfast bar as well as southern fried chicken, old-fashioned mac 'n' cheese, she-crab stew, sandwich wraps, crab cakes and other dishes. It also offers fresh-brewed tea and lemonade, available daily, in addition to gourmet coffee and a wide selection of fountain drinks served with Parker's signature Chewy Ice.

"We're delighted to be recognized by our loyal customers for the quality of our prepared foods at Parker's Market," said Greg Parker, president and CEO of Parker's. "We've definitely raised the bar, offering restaurant-quality cuisine to go. Our chefs work hard every day to prepare fresh gourmet food on site for our customers."
