CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- A new Chester's fried chicken restaurant has opened inside a Sam's Mart convenience store in the "Queen City" (aka Charlotte, N.C.), according to the Birmingham, Ala.-based foodservice concept provider.

The Chester's is owned and operated by Adnan Jazairi and celebrated its grand opening on Friday, May 30. Chester the Chicken was on hand to help with the ribbon-cutting ceremony and grand opening photos with customers and employees.

"Sam's Express Mart is happy bringing Chester's great tasting menu items to the Charlotte area," said Mohammed Saqqa, operator [image-nocss] of Sam's Mart. "We feel confident that the Chester's brand will bring new customers to our store as well as provide a great menu to our existing customers."

The Sam's Mart location will serve lunch and dinner offering Chester's signature menu options including Chester's fried bone-in chicken, chicken tenders, potato wedges and biscuits. The newest Chester's will also offer both dine-in and carryout options.

Along with its products, it offers flexible size and store layout options, training and support. Other menu items include sandwiches, wraps, salads, breakfast and sides.
