Convenience stores can tackle two trends with one offering: plant-based bowls.

According to CSP sister publication Foodservice Director, bowls containing healthy whole grains, fresh vegetables, plant-based protein and trendy add-ons are a great spring offering.

One example is the Korean Tofu Sausage Bowl from Yellow Fever, Los Angeles, which includes sauteed mushrooms, pickled carrots, steamed kale and fresh avocado drizzled with gochujang dressing (pictured).

Elsewhere, the Detox Grain Bowl with Chickpeas from The Easy Vegan in Denver includes fresh vegetables and herbs, quinoa, kalamata olives, brown rice and a red pepper-honey sauce.
