INDIANAPOLIS -- Chester's International, a major fried chicken brand in convenience stores worldwide, celebrated the grand opening of its newest location in the Indianapolis area last week. This is Chester's third restaurant to open with Village Pantry in the Indianapolis area.
"Chester's is a great opportunity for Village Pantry to help grow its strong foodservice programs with the highest quality Fried Chicken and side dishes to compliment our fresh made daily sandwiches and doughnuts," said Chad Prast, director of Foodservice at Indianapolis-based Village Pantry. "We are already seeing [image-nocss] greater than expected results from our other Chester's locations."
Village Pantry celebrated the store's grand re-opening, as well as the grand opening of its newest Chester's. Chester the Chicken made an appearance at the celebration. He participated in the ribbon-cutting ceremony and posed for photos with customers and employees. He spent most of his time greeting children and handing out Chester's balloons.
The chain was founded 40 years ago in Indianapolis and currently has more than 180 locations throughout Michigan, Ohio, and Indiana.
The Village Pantry location will serve breakfast, lunch and dinner offering Chester's signature menu options including Chester's fried bone-in chicken, chicken tenders, potato wedges and biscuits. The newest Chester's will also offer both dine-in and carryout options.
Kathryn Kudulis, brand manager at Chester's, said, "The power of the Chester's brand will be a tremendous tool as we continue to exceed the daily expectations of our customers."
Chester's the leader of quick serve restaurant (QSR) concepts in the convenience stores with more than 1,500 Chester Fried licensed and Chester's franchised locations. Along with its products, Chester's offers flexible size and store layout options, training and support. Chester's fried chicken is specially marinated and double-breaded using a proprietary family recipe. Menu items offered include bone-in, tenders and potato wedges as well as sandwiches, wraps, salads, breakfast and sides.
