GREENSBORO, N. C. -- Gilbarco has expanded its Encore family of flexible-fuel dispensers with new models that are compatible with fuels containing up to 25% ethanol and new ethanol blender configurations. All standard flow Encore S dispensers are now available with hydraulic components that are compatible with E25.
In addition, the new Encore S 3+1+1 blender fuel dispenser offers a configuration that expands the site's flexibility to offer the maximum number of products at the same fueling position.
The Encore S 3 + 1 + 1 dispenser offers consumers a choice of three blended grades, from a single hose on the right side. The blended grades could be gasoline or ethanol (where dedicated hoses are not required for different levels of ethanol). On the left side, consumers can choose from two dedicated hoses for unblended, straight products, which could be different ratios of standard gasoline, ethanol, biodiesel or diesel.
Separate hoses are required for different ratios of ethanol in some states to mitigate the potential for misfueling, the company added.

Increasing consumer demand for ethanol and other alternative fuels allows Gilbarco to support our customers' desires to supply a full range of fueling options," said Chad Johnson, marketing manager at Gilbarco Veeder-Root. "The Encore series flexible fuel dispensers give retailers the flexibility to offer their customers maximum choice."
Underwriters Laboratories (UL) and the National Conference on Weights & Measures have approved the Encore S with the E25 option and have also approved the new blender dispenser up to E85. Gilbarco Veeder-Root offers a broad range of fuel dispensers specifically designed for alternative fuels. All are covered by the same warranty and are available with the same CRIND options as other Encore S models. Options include PCI and EMV-compliant payment systems and Applause Media System for forecourt merchandising.
