Dresser Wayne Debuts New Ultra High-Capacity Fleet Fuel Dispensers

Offer faster fueling for commercial vehicles

AUSTIN, Texas -- New Ultra High-Capacity (UHC) models are now available for Dresser Wayne's popular Select line of fleet fuel dispensers, enabling large commercial vehicles to spend less time at the pump and more time on the road, the company said.

With a maximum flow rate of 60 gallons per minute(gpm), the new Select UHC dispensers are available in a variety of models, including singles, single-product twins, two-product twins, single and twin satellites and a master/satellite combination unit. A new two-hose, single-sided version allows two grades [image-nocss] or types of fuel to be offered at one fueling point, or allows for quicker refueling of trucks with twin saddle tanks on each side.

Due to their impressive flow rates, we expect that these ultra high capacity models will be very popular with operations dispensing fuel into vehicles with large fuel tanks, including private fueling facilities with Class 8 trucks, unattended retail sites (cardlocks) and marinas, said Kent Robinson, director of marketing for Dresser Wayne's Fleet Fueling Group.

Dual internal 40-gpm filters (80-gpm capacity) help maintain optimal flow performance while ensuring fuel puritya particular concern for vehicles with new high-pressure diesel engines. The durable dispensers also use two field-proven components, a Liquid Controls M-5 high flow meter and Dresser Wayne's iGEM electronics platform, to help maximize efficiency, security and uptime.

Also standard in the models: an electronic calibration feature, user status display, electromechanical totalizer, display backup, lighted brand panel and hinged doors for easy access.

In January, San Luis Obispo, Calif.-based J.B. Dewar Inc., a distributor of high-quality fuel and lubricants, made Dresser Wayne's Select UHC dispenser the centerpiece of a new unattended Pacific Pride commercial site in Paso Robles, Calif. Our goal was to get trucks in and out of the site as quickly as possible, and we didn't have a lot of space to work with, said Ed Ward, maintenance manager for J.B. Dewar. We designed the entire site around the dispenser that could deliver the most productand that's proven to be Dresser Wayne's Select UHC. It's become the flagship of the station, the crown jewel of the site.

Truck drivers who visit the station are very pleased to be able to fill their tanks within three or four minutes, Ward said, and site sales have increased each month since the Dresser Wayne Select UHC dispenser was installed. Ward said the dispenser's easily accessed filtration was also well-received by his customers. We've really liked the extra-large filtration set up in the cabinet, said Ward. It's well-positioned and easy to access for maintenance. Over all, the Dresser Wayne Select UHC has been a wonderful product for us. We haven't had any problems since we put it into serviceit's been bulletproof.
