Kum & Go Adds More Biodiesel

28 more sites offer B2

JOHNSTON, Iowa -- The Iowa Renewable Fuels Association (IRFA) on April 9 congratulated Kum & Go for adding biodiesel blends to 28 more Iowa retail locations, said GrainNet.com. Kum & Go now offers B2 (2% biodiesel) at 36 retail sites.

This major project means thousands more Iowans can purchase B2 at the pump, the group said. Kum & Go has made a major commitment to biodiesel in Iowa, said Monte Shaw, IRFA executive director.Today's announcement dramatically increases the retail biodiesel options for Iowa consumers. Coupled with their leading [image-nocss] effort on E85 (85% ethanol-blended gasoline), Kum & Go's commitment to renewable fuels is second to none. I think Iowans will sit up and take notice.

Kum & Go has provided E85 to customers for 10 years and currently offers E85 at five retail sites in Iowa. The company has expansion plans in place to more than double that number within the next year.

Kum & Go is proud to be an active member of the renewable fuels industry that is dedicated to providing consumers effective fuel alternatives that also create development opportunities for the state of Iowa and the entire Midwest, said Kyle J. Krause, president and CEO of Kum & Go, West Des Moines, Iowa.
