New Frontier for Road Ranger

Expanding chain scores naming rights to RiverHawks' stadium

ROCKFORD, Ill. Midwestern retailer Road Ranger LLC and the Rockford RiverHawks, a member of the Frontier League of Professional Baseball, recently formed a naming rights partnership for the team's stadium. The facility, which opened in 2006, will be known as Road Ranger Stadium.

The naming rights agreement is for an initial term of five years. Financial and specific terms are confidential and were not released.

We are overwhelmed by the opportunity to be part of bringing quality, affordable professional baseball to the area, [image-nocss] said Dan Arnold, president of Road Ranger. The RiverHawks are a first-class organization and their stadium is an architectural jewel in our community. The purchasing of the naming rights is our way of supporting the Riverhawks.

Kurt Carlson, chairperson and co-owner of the RiverHawks, said We are thrilled to welcome Road Ranger to our growing team of commercial partners. This further strengthens our ability to provide affordable, family entertainment to the region.

Road Ranger Stadium will be host several events in 2007; including 51 Frontier League games; 13 Rockford College games; NCAA Northern Athletics Conference Tournament; Illinois High School Baseball Super Sectional; American Legion tournament; and the Pepsi/Major League Baseball Pitch, Hit & Run.
