Perimeter Oil Gets Into the Spirit

Spirit Petroleum announces first licensee in Georgia

NEW HOPE, Pa. -- Spirit Petroleum, a petroleum brand managed by marketers and owned by the non-profit Petroleum Marketers Association of America (PMAA), has added its first licensee in the state of Georgia. Perimeter Oil Co., Atlanta, plans to re-image its site in Villa Rica, Ga., with the Spirit brand effective September 2007.

"We are thrilled to welcome a Georgia-based distributor to our growing roster of Spirit licensees," said Vera Haskins, president of Spirit Petroleum. "Perimeter Oil Co., which has operated in the Atlanta area for over 20 years, [image-nocss] recognizes that Spirit's low branding costs and flexible requirements enable marketers to aggressively compete within this ever-changing industry."

Ben Kenny, president of Perimeter Oil, added, "Spirit gives us the opportunity to experience benefits of independence while maintaining a strong, national brand. We look forward to taking on Spirit's red-white-and-blue image at our Villa Rica, Ga., site and at other future locations."

Spirit was created to present a positive alternative to qualifying members of the PMAA's 45 state associations, the group said. Now in its sixth year, Spirit is embraced by marketers nationwide with licensed sites in states from coast to coast, including Alaska and Hawaii. More than half of the licensees have branded multiple locations.
