Shell Offers More Free Fuel

Stations in N.Y., Atlanta, DFW, Portland host second wave of Protect & Save gas giveaways

HOUSTON -- Following on the heels of the Protect & Save Gasoline Giveaways in four major cities from Seattle to Miami, Shell hosted another wave of consumer gasoline giveaways in four more cities coast-to-coast to showcase the benefits of saving on high quality fuel at Shell through loyalty rewards programs with leading grocers.

The Protect & Save gasoline giveaways already generated significant consumer excitement in Houston, Miami, San Francisco and Seattle at the end of September, according to the company. On Thursday, a select Shell station in each of the New York, Atlanta, Dallas-Fort Worth and Portland, Ore., areas hosted the next wave of surprise giveaways for a special 90-minute promotional period.

The Shell station and start time in each of these cities were announced on the Shell "On the Road" Facebook page and through a local radio station at 6:00 a.m. local time. Every vehicle that arrived at the designated Shell station within the promotional period received up to 15 gallons of regular-grade Shell Nitrogen Enriched Gasoline.

Since 2009, Shell has been teaming-up with leading U.S. grocers through alliances that help motorists save on fuels.
