US Tank Alliance to Keep Speedway SuperAmerica Lit

Signs contact for 1,600 retail locations

ENON, Ohio -- Speedway SuperAmerica LLC has award the contract for its lighting maintenance program to US Tank Alliance Inc., a national provider of underground storage tank (UST) system testing a cleaning. The contract gives US Tank Alliance sole responsibility for lamp replacement for 1,600 Speedway SuperAmerica locations in Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, Wisconsin and West Virginia.

US Tank Alliance said it plans to visit half of the locations every other month, ensuring that all locations arte visited within a two-month period. It also replaces HVAC and water filters and performs Tier One audits at each location, which include fire extinguisher, emergency exit and water line leak inspections.

This is the first lighting contract that US Tank Alliance has received since launching the lighting maintenance side of its business. It has been providing UST systems testing and cleaning services since 2001, and it has worked with Enon, Ohio-based Speedway SuperAmerica for six years and it entered into a single-source testing contract with the retailer in early 2004.

This proactive program eliminates the need for Speedway SuperAmerica to hire independent maintenance contractors in each market, said Fernando Crosa, president of Columbus, Ohio-based US Tank Alliance. It also allows for each location to build a beneficial relationship with their lighting representative, instead of having to deal with a different person during every visit.
