APPLETON, Wis. -- U.S. Venture Inc., which operates the Express Convenience Centers, has acquired Farmersburg, Ind.-based Trueblood Oil Co.'s branded wholesale fuel supply business, reported The Appleton Post-Crescent.
U.S. Venture said that the purchase gives it a significant distribution position in Indiana and will expand U.S. Venture's Midwest presence.
"This is a great opportunity as it helps U.S. Venture accelerate our current expansion into the Indiana, Ohio and Michigan markets," Steve Quinette, vice president of branded sales for Appleton, Wis.-based U.S. Venture, said in a statement. "Another positive aspect is that we gain access to the Sunoco fuel brand which opens up new potential for U.S. Venture."
He said the acquisition helps U.S. Venture meet its strategic growth plans. "Trueblood has built a successful business with a loyal following of customers who expect great service from the people they know and trust. We will continue to build on that success by offering additional services and programs to meet our customer's needs."
