Cenex, Cabela's Renew Loyalty Program

New agreement extends through 2019

ST. PAUL, Minn. -- CHS Inc., an energy, grains and foods company and the nation's leading farmer-owned cooperative, has announced that it has signed an agreement to secure the loyalty partnership between its Cenex brand and the Cabela's brand for an additional five years.

The new agreement extends the program through 2019.

"At a time when other co-branded programs are declining or being discontinued, ours is growing, primarily because of great synergy between the Cenex and Cabela's brands," said Jay Debertin, executive vice president and COO of CHS.

"Bringing together these strong brands has attracted more than 135,000 new customers to Cenex retail locations and generated more than $363.5 million in sales for Cenex retailers while saving them over $914,000 in credit-card processing fees. At the same time, it has cemented loyalty among existing Cenex customers, many of whom share a love of the great outdoors and appreciate the opportunity to earn high-quality Cabela's gear. We are pleased to extend our partnership and continue providing a valuable traffic-builder that is available only to retailers to choose to join the Cenex family," he said.

"We are thrilled to extend the partnership between Cabela's and CHS," said Tommy Millner, Cabela Inc.'s CEO. "This partnership has generated positive results for both brands and more importantly for our loyal customers. Renewing this agreement strengthens our commitment to serve CLUB  members and ensures we will continue to reward them for their loyalty and passion for the outdoors."

Cabela's World's Most Foremost Bank is one of the top Visa credit card issuers, with more than 2.2 million cardholders. Under this exclusive partnership, Cenex is the only petroleum brand that can offer double Cabela's CLUB points--redeemable for free outdoor gear--and a Cabela's CLUB Cenex Visa card to its customers. Since the program began in 2009, customers who shopped at Cenex convenience stores have earned 7.3 million reward dollars.

CHS supports the Cabela's incentive program at no cost to its retailers. It provides complimentary merchandising kits and local store marketing tools to Cenex retailers.

CHS supplies energy, crop nutrients, grain marketing services, livestock feed, food and food ingredients, along with business solutions including insurance, financial and risk management services. The company operates petroleum refineries and pipelines and manufactures, markets and distributes Cenex-brand refined fuels, lubricants, propane and renewable energy products.

Cabela's, based in Sidney, Neb., is a leading specialty retailer and the world's largest direct marketer, of hunting, fishing, camping and related outdoor merchandise. Since the company's founding in 1961, Cabela's has grown to become one of the most well-known outdoor recreation brands in the world, and has long been recognized as the World's Foremost Outfitter. Cabela's also issues the Cabela's CLUB Visa credit card, which serves as its primary customer loyalty rewards program.
