LENEXA, Kan. — Hostess Brands LLC is rolling out its new Hostess Boost Jumbo Donettes at convenience stores in two flavors: Chocolate Mocha and Caramel Macchiato. The snack contains 50-70 milligrams of caffeine—slightly less than a standard cup of coffee.

“For adults who are increasingly looking for alternative sources of caffeine, our new Hostess Boost Jumbo Donettes offer a tasty, energy-boosting, grab-and-go way to jumpstart the day,” said Christopher Balach, general manager of Hostess Brands LLC.

The new doughnuts come in a 2.5-ounce single-serve package and are two times larger than the original Hostess mini doughnuts. The product’s suggested retail price is $2.49.

The Chocolate Mocha variety combines chocolate and espresso coffee flavors, while the Caramel Macchiato variety incorporates caramel and espresso coffee flavors. Both varieties are glazed and caffeinated with coffee bean extract.

Snack company Hostess Brands LLC, Kansas City, Mo., produces a variety of treats, including Twinkies, CupCakes, Donettes, Ding Dongs, Zingers and more.
