Krispy Kreme Rolls Out New Packaging in C-Stores, Grocery

Brings more consistency across product lines
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- Krispy Kreme Doughnut Corp. is introducing new branded packaging in convenience stores, grocery stores and mass merchants. Package upgrades, new signature products, and improved display graphics are part of the company's broader efforts to enhance and grow its presence in these locations.

The products themselves will not change, the company said.

Packaging upgrades include: Adding enhanced graphics to increase shelf impact and visual appeal. Improved graphic consistency across multiple product lines to make shopping easier for consumers. [image-nocss] Enhanced structural integrity to help ensure continued product quality.

Krispy Kreme doughnut varieties such as the Original Glazed, Chocolate Iced with Kreme Filling, Chocolate Iced Glazed and Raspberry-Filled doughnuts are available now in new branded packaging.

A new line of products introduced in upgraded packaging include Dipped Chocolate Cake Doughnut Holes, Dipped Cake Doughnuts in snack bags and Krispy Juniors Dipped Cake Doughnuts.

"Exciting new products and improved marketing efforts, like the packaging upgrades...are expected to help us increase sales in this important distribution channel."

Winston-Salem, N.C.-based Krispy Kreme is a leading branded specialty retailer and wholesaler of sweet treats, including its signature Original Glazed doughnut. Krispy Kreme packaged products can be found in more than 10,000 grocery, convenience and mass merchant stores in the United States.
