SOI 2019: Candy Sales Flat

CHICAGO — Candy sales were relatively flat at 0.5% growth in 2018, but the category saw innovation within the chocolate segment. Summit speaker Charlie McIlvaine, chairman and CEO of Coen Oil Co., said limited-edition, seasonal lines were stimulating consumer interest.

Candy sales rose 0.5% in 2018 to reach $5,575 per store per month.
