7-Eleven Rolls Out ReVoS

Retailer offers exclusive international calling service

DALLAS -- Available exclusively at participating 7-Eleven stores, the new ReVoS PrepaidMobile calling service is now available and provides unlimited calls to 42 countries including destinations in Canada, Mexico, Europe and China for less than $20 per month.

ReVoS is short for Revolutionary Voice Service and is a product of RNK Communications.

Sold as an overlay to existing prepaid and post-paid telephone service plans, ReVoS PrepaidMobile works with all U.S. cellular service providers and requires no additional equipment, no [image-nocss] personal identification numbers (PINs) to dial after activation and has no day or time restrictions, the company said.

Customers can recharge their ReVoS PrepaidMobile cards at any of 7-Eleven's company- and franchisee-operated convenience stores.

For our customers who have international calling needs, this may be as big as the prepaid long-distance phone cards introduced more than 10 years ago, said Joe DePinto, Dallas-based 7-Eleven Inc.'s president and CEO. 7-Eleven was the first national retailer to bring those to the market, and we're always on the lookout for the latest and greatest new products to meet the needs of those on the go. Our customers expect new products from 7-Eleven that make their lives easier and give them more value for their money, and our suppliers know to bring us innovative ideas. ReVoS fills the bill on all counts.

Brad Haga, 7-Eleven category manager for prepaid services, said, Nothing like this exists on the market at this time. The ReVoS international plan is perfect for our value-conscious, time-starved, on-the-go customers. 7-Eleven has been a leader of prepaid phone services for 13 years, first introducing prepaid long distance cards in 1994. This new service is the next evolution of rapidly changing technology that makes communicating cheaper and easier.

The unlimited calling plan includes destinations in the following

countries: Argentina, Australia , Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Chile, China, Denmark, England, France, Germany, Greece, Guam, Hong Kong, Hungary, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Mexico, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Puerto Rico, Russia, Scotland, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Northern Ireland, Switzerland, Thailand, U.S. Virgin Islands, Venezuela, Vatican City and Wales.

To set up the service, ReVoS customers call a toll-free number and follow three steps using the participating phone. The ReVoS PrepaidMobile service can be programmed to only one phone. The service is one-way, meaning international calls must be placed from a U.S. phone number to either a cell or land line. Calls must be made to a land line in the featured countries, with the exception of Canada, China, Hong Kong, Singapore and certain destinations in Mexico, where calls made to these countries from the United States will be completed to both land lines and cellular phones.

Through our partnership with 7-Eleven, the world's best-known convenience retailer, we are able to offer millions of consumers an affordable solution for international calling, said Richard N. Koch, CEO of RNK Communications, Dedham, Mass.
