Provide grants via ExxonMobil program

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. -- Convenience Express Stores, Quickway Food Stores and its parent company, Mirabito Fuel Group, were able to provide 19 Central New York and Southern Tier area schools with a total of $9,500 in grants through ExxonMobil's Educational Alliance Program this year.

The 19 schools each received a $500 ExxonMobil Educational Alliance Grant. The grants could be used by the schools to help fund projects in the following categories: math/science; art/music/cultural; physical education/athletics; general education support; reading; field trips/[image-nocss] enrichment; computer/technology; and student awards.

Area schools had the opportunity to apply for a grant from ExxonMobil through their local Convenience Express or Quickway Food Store. Each manager of a local ExxonMobil branded store sent the completed application into ExxonMobil for their review and was notified of the funding approval in October.
