EPSOM, N.H. -- To mark the grand opening of its newest store, and in support of the young people of Epsom, N.H., Cumberland Farms presented a $1,000 donation Monday to support the local police and fire departments' children education program.
The new Cumberland Farms store made headlines over the last year while the company waited to break ground on the new story as the community rallied to move an historic church building from the site.
Canton, Mass.-based Cumberland Farms has a network of retail stores, gas stations and a support [image-nocss] system including petroleum, dairy and grocery distribution operations that spans 11 states across the Northeast and Florida.
Through its Corporate Giving Program for Youth, the company is working to improve the prospects for young people, to encourage and support young people's achievements in business and leadership, and to provide educational opportunities for young people. Cumberland Farms sponsors 4-H, the Muscular Dystrophy Association and Making Strides for Breast Cancer and provides college scholarships.
