Cumby Farms Helps South Bethlehem, N.Y., Schools

Donates $1,000 at c-store opening

GLENMONT, N.Y. -- To mark the grand opening of the company's newest convenience store and gas station in Glenmont, N.Y., Cumberland Farms Inc. presented a $1,000 donation to support the South Bethlehem, N.Y., school system. The funds will be used to support a variety of educational programs.

Through its Corporate Giving Program for Youth, the retailer is working to improve the prospects for young people, to encourage and support young people's achievements in business and leadership and to provide It sponsors 4-H, the Muscular Dystrophy Association and [image-nocss] Making Strides for Breast Cancer and provides college scholarships. In addition to annual corporate contributions, Cumberland Farms is active at the local level, building awareness and supporting worthy organizations in the communities where its employees live and work.

Canton, Mass.-based Cumberland Farms' network of retail stores, gas stations, and a support system including petroleum, dairy and grocery distribution operations spans 11 states across the Northeast and Florida, making it the largest convenience store/petroleum marketer in the Northeast.
