PHOENIX -- A chance to win two $500 gift cards added up to a $1,000 donation to the Fragile X Research Foundation (FRAXA) charity during the Outlook Leadership conference held in Arizona earlier this month.
As part of its display with Brinks, MEI provided conference attendees with five $1 bills to place in a multi-bill-acceptor safe prototype and be registered for the prizes. And all the money collected in the safe was donated to FRAXA, whose mission is to find effective treatments and a cure for children and adults with Fragile X. Fragile X is the most [image-nocss] common inherited cause of mental impairment and the most common known cause of autism.
We were very pleased, said Dan Taylor, business development manager of retail security for MEI. We figure almost 200 people came to try their luck.
The winners of the two $500 gift certificates to Orvis were Bruce Familian, president of City Stop, Las Vegas, and Andrew Bowman, vice president of Stop-N-Go Convenience Center, Madison, Wis.
