NACS Leverages Prescription Card Program

Member companies can offer Coast 2 Coast Rx to employees

ALEXANDRIA, Va. -- Member companies of the National Association of Convenience Stores (NACS) can now offer their employees free enrollment in the Coast 2 Coast Rx prescription card program.

The new NACS member benefit, the NACS Discount Prescription Drug Program, enables companies to provide prescription cards to their employees, allowing them to save up to 50% on prescriptions at over 42,000 participating pharmacies in the United States. There are no enrollment fees or monthly fees associated with the program, and participants can use the card to immediately [image-nocss] fill a prescription without having to pre-register the card.

The program also provides savings on mail-order prescriptions, over-the-counter medications, diabetic supplies, hearing aids and devices and medical equipment.

This program falls right into line with our efforts to further increase the benefits of membership, for both retailers and supplier companies, said NACS products and services manager Doug Spencer. Much like the recently added arrangement with eCashflow to help merchants collect on NSF checks, this program offers a cost-free method for NACS members to enhance their company's business portfolio.

Spencer added that NACS is developing additional value-added member benefits that will be announced in the coming weeks.

NACS members can order free prescription cards by calling (800) 240-9222 or by contacting Doug Spencer at (703) 518-4293; dspencer@nacsonline.com.
