Northwest Pump Promotes Mathews to President

Exec marks 40 years with pump distributor

PORTLAND, Ore. -- Northwest Pump & Equipment Co. has appointed Mark Mathews, currently vice president of sales, to be the company's new president.

Mathews, who marked his 40th year with the company in 2015, has led the sales team during the most prosperous years in Northwest Pump’s history, said the company.

“Mark is among the most experienced in our industry at leading a successful sales team and is very well positioned to lead Northwest Pump into the future,” said outgoing president Gregg Miller. “The company will remain in very good hands.”

Miller will continue to be active as the chief executive officer, and he will continue as trustee of Northwest Pump’s employee stock ownership plan (ESOP).

Founded in 1959, Northwest Pump & Equipment is one of the largest distributors of petroleum and industrial equipment in the United States, offering a comprehensive inventory of brands as well as service. Based in Portland, Ore., Northwest Pump is an employee-owned company with 16 locations across the western United States.
