Quick Chek Partners With Extreme Makeover Home Edition

Retailer pitches tent, rolls up sleeves, offers coffee, snacks

WHITEHOUSE STATION, N.J. -- Quick Chek has partnered with TV's Extreme Makeover Home Edition team in an effort to help a family and a community in need. The show benefits a family in distress by harnessing the resources of hundreds of volunteers in an effort to create a new home for the family. This particular construction project is taking place in Irvington, N.J.

The show volunteers, literally more than 300 at a time, converge on the site, working 24 hours a day for seven days to tear down and rebuild the home.

Quick Chek has [image-nocss] erected a tent near the site, staffing it with trained personnel who will be offering all of the Makeover volunteers coffee, cappuccino, iced coffee, fresh fruit, cookies, snacks, water and more at no cost.

In partnering with the Extreme Makeover Home Edition team, Quick Chek CEO Dean Durling, said, We are delighted to be involved in this life changing event for a family in need. It seems only fitting that we can help the volunteers through their intense reconstruction by offering food and beverages.

Quick Chek, Whitehouse Station, N.J., operates more than 100 stores throughout the state.
