Scotchman's, Young's Offering Airlink Mobile

Becomes exclusive prepaid handset provider

WILMINGTON, N.C. -- Airlink Mobile announced today that Worsley Cos. Inc. has selected Airlink Mobile as the exclusive prepaid handset provider for its 138 convenience stores. Scotchman's will also market the full line of Airlink Mobile-branded long-distance cards.

David Stanek, president and CEO of Airlink Mobile, said, With many c-stores seeing 80% of their prepaid sales coming from prepaid wireless and those margins compressing the last couple of years, progressive retailers understand that the next step in prepaid growth is selling prepaid wireless [image-nocss] handsets that typically offer higher margins than many of the large wireless carriers for top-ups and a solid margin on the handset sale.

Airlink Mobile offers free nights and weekends, free new phone offer, a low price point and great margins for retailers, he added.

Wilmington, N.C.-based Worsley is a diversified, privately owned company that operates more than 130 c-stores in North and South Carolina. Scotchman Stores, Young's Food Stores and S&E Food Marts make up the Worsley retail division.

Cedar Rapids, Iowa-based AirLink Mobile is a provider of nationwide wireless products and services.
