Town Pump Goes to Courtthe Basketball Court

Foundation donates $100,000 to Montana Tech gym

BUTTE, Mont. -- The Town Pump Charitable Foundation has given $100,000 to Montana Tech's efforts to upgrade its physical education facility, reported the Associated Press.

Former Montana Tech men's Basketball coach and current Indiana coach Kelvin Sampson donated $50,000 to Project Dreams last month. He will have his signature embossed on the court.

Tech athletics director Joe McClafferty said a Town Pump logo also will be placed on the new basketball court.

Crews have completed demolition and have begun painting in the gym. School officials said work on the new floor should begin soon.

Town Pump Inc. is a Montana chain of gas stations, convenience stores, truckstops, car washes, coin-operated laundries, motels and casinos. Both Butte-based Town Pump and the corporation's foundation are headed by Tom Kenneally Sr.
