VERC Upgrades Marshfield Briteway Car Wash

Site receives $1.4 million renovation

MARSHFIELD, Mass. -- Independent convenience store and gas station operator VERC Enterprises recently completed renovation on its Briteway Car Wash in Marshfield, Mass.

The $1.4 million project entailed top to bottom renovation of the structure, originally built in 1974. The new Briteway Car Wash is outfitted with a new septic system, cloth tunnel, a touchless automatic start system and improved water recycling.

The look of the Briteway Car Wash has also been updated with its unique art deco inspired design created by Marshfield [image-nocss] architectural illustrator Peter Whitman. Using imagery from the classic era of automobile design, Whitman worked with VERC vice president Paul Vercollone and architect Brian Taylor of Stenbeck & Taylor of Marshfield to create a design that incorporates classical art deco elements. The tunnel portion of the car wash has the appearance of a classic gar grille. The limestone white building with light and dark blue and terra cotta colored accents has an art deco inspired roof cupola and windows are hooded with pediments.

We're proud and delighted to unveil our 'new' Marshfield Briteway Car, said Vercollone. We are certain that its state-of-the-art equipment and unique design will be appreciated by customers throughout the region and beyond.

The company held a grand reopening celebration at the Marshfield Briteway Car Wash on July 21. On that day, proceeds from the car wash were donated to the Marshfield Boys' & Girls' Club ($5 per car wash).
