First time customers to Peet’s Coffee might want to begin their visit online. Peet’s website lets customers find their coffee or tea match, asking leading questions beginning with: How do you prepare your coffee? A few questions later, the site guides a customer to the ideal blend (after entering an email address).

This tool is part of Peet’s dedication to crafting the perfect cup, it says, a goal that shapes its process, from partnering with farmers to roasting by hand. The San Francisco-based company’s website says it sources the top 1% of coffee beans from the world’s top growing regions. Peet’s also offers farmers training and educational opportunities, backs initiatives to help farm communities and invests in coffee-plant science.

In its stores, Peet’s says that its hand-pulled bold Espresso Forte is the foundation for each espresso beverages. Recent seasonal coffees include Anniversary Blend 2023, a dark roast of plum, red fruit and fine chocolate. May’s limited release was Brazil Encantador, a medium roast with almond baking spice and apple butter.

Peet’s, which started in in 1966 in Berkeley, California, has a solid online presence of K-cup pods, espresso capsules, subscriptions, wholesale and more. Shipping is free.
