When Jocelyn Miller came to Love’s Travel Stops & Country Stores in 2018, the travel-center chain was just beginning to embrace technology to manage its large and growing workforce.
Since then, a lot of change management and training has occurred to implement a suite of workforce tools to help gain visibility of workload, optimize labor and give team members ownership of their schedules.
“Our teams are supporting a large, dynamic workforce that includes retail, foodservice, Total Truck Solutions, hospitality and distribution,” Miller says. “The ability to leverage data to be able to make educated decisions regarding our labor planning has been a game-changer.”
She adds, “Giving our teams the ability and ownership to manage their own time, attendance and availability to work has been an enhancement to an already great environment. That has been a win.”
