Circle K is the EV charging leader in many markets in Europe. It’s on Snorre Skeie to bring that experience to North America. A Q&A:
How are you investing in EV charging?
In North America, we are in the process of deploying our first 200 owned-and-operated charging sites in the U.S. and Canada, where we add an EV offer tailored for the convenience industry to our forecourts.
How is it performing?
North America is still in the early stages of EV adoption, but the rate of growth is exciting. … Our existing and developing store network gives us prime locations along key travel corridors.
Why is this important to Circle K?
As customer needs change, we’re committed to evolving our offer to keep pace. We aspire to be the preferred destination for convenience and mobility and fuel our customers’ journeys whether that fuel is gasoline, diesel or electricity.
Do you drive an EV?
Yes. Having actual EV experience over many miles and use cases helps me better understand the customer needs, pain points and how behavior changes transitioning from ICE [internal combustion engine] to EV. I drive a Ford Mustang Mach-e, and have owned a Telsa Model 3, Hyundai Kona electric and a Citroen c-zero.
