Chad Kiesow is in charge of the EV-charging program at Stewart’s Shops. The convenience-store chain has 12 locations in the program, thus far. Five have Tesla superchargers and five New York Power Authority Evolve fast-charging units. One location has both, and the last includes both a Tesla charger and non-Tesla unit. The company’s website includes an interactive map showing each location and store hours.
Stewart’s Shops is being strategic in determining where it will add more charging stations, which let customers charge their EV in 15 to 30 minutes “at an affordable rate,” the website says.
The partnerships with Evolve NY and Tesla allow Stewart’s Shops to offer customers more options in charging their EVs, the company said. “Making EV charging more accessible for the communities we serve is important for us as we move to a more sustainable future.”
