Heit Hired to Elevate Celsius

Former Fuze, Glaceau exec brings branding expertise

DELRAY BEACH, Fla. -- Celsius Holdings Inc. the maker of calorie-burning soda Celsius, has selected Erin Heit for the position of marketing vice president.

Previously, she served as marketing manager for Fuze Beverages LLC, where she helped the brand develop its go-to-market strategies and established sales and distribution relationships. She also served as marketing communications manager at Energy Brands Inc., maker of Glaceau Vitaminwater, where she was among the first hires and helped develop sales and marketing objectives. She played a critical [image-nocss] role in the brand's growth from $3 million to $10 million in sales.

Erin's passion for, and experience in, assisting beverage brands that create breakthrough categories grow into dominating category leaders is the reason we want her on the Celsius team, said Steve Haley, CEO of Delray Beach, Fla.-based Celsius.

She will work with former vice president of marketing Janice Haley, who now will take on the expanded role of vice president of strategic accounts and business development. Janice's new role will be to focus exclusively on the growth of high-volume accounts, and both Erin and Janice will be working to build on the market momentum and accolades Celsius has received from the industry, media and consumers for its marketing and sales accomplishments, said Haley.

In other news, the company has unveiled its 12-oz. Celsius can. Like its bottle counterpart, Celsius cans will be available individually and also sold in convenient four-packs.

Making Celsius available in cans will help meetdemand and create new opportunities for distribution, said Dick McGee, COO. Having a can provides us flexibility to distribute Celsius in locations that want it such as gyms, spas and beach locations.
