Red Diamond Coffee & Tea Launches RTD Iced Tea

MOODY, Ala. Foodservice beverage manufacturer Red Diamond Coffee & Tea has launched Fortify, a new ready-to-drink (RTD) iced tea.

The iced tea comes in four flavors: Lemon; Ginger and Mint Green Tea; Hibiscus and Cranberry Green Tea; and Mango and Peach Black Tea. They are available in 16-ounce shelf-stable, single-serve bottles.

“Fortify shares the same high-quality, simple ingredients that run throughout our entire beverage portfolio but offers both natural functional benefits and an infusion of vitamins,” said Emily Wood Bowron, assistant vice president of Red Diamond Coffee & Tea. “We look forward to providing operators a tea option that is refreshingly original and full of trending flavors.”

Fortify is brewed for function and provides a natural boost of energy, antioxidants and vitamins, the company said. It is is made with hand-picked tea leaves and is cold-brewed for a smooth taste.

Nearly all (94%) convenience-store operators have tea on their menus, the highest of any U.S. foodservice segment, according to Ignite data from CSP’s sister research firm, Technomic. C-stores currently outpace fine-dining restaurants (86%), fast-casual restaurants (73%), casual dining restaurants (62%), quick-service restaurants (46%) and more when it comes to tea.
