Some Customers Frosted Over Froster Campaign

Mac's WTF draws ire

LAVAL, Quebec -- Mac's Convenience Stores in Canada has launched what LifeSiteNews.com said some people see as an offensive advertising campaign for its frosted carbonated drink, The Froster.

Posters in Mac's windows feature a nun kneeling with her arms raised and a sheep at her side. Above the nun is a shining Froster with the initials WTF below.

WTF is generally considered to stand for what the f***; however, store owners have told customers that it is supposed to stand for What the Flavour, according to the report.

The small-sized froster referred to as a WTF is accompanied by the medium- sized OMGWTF, and the large-sized RUNTSOMGWTF. According to NetLingo.com, OMG stands for Oh My God and RUNTS stands for Are You Nuts.

Store-managers are themselves frustrated by the ad campaign, but have told patrons that they have no authority to end it and those concerned must contact Couche-Tard directly.

Mac's stores are owned by parent company Laval, Quebec-based Alimentation Couche-Tard Inc.
