TA Continues Restaurant Growth

Travel-center group adds Fazoli’s in Oklahoma City unit

WESTLAKE, Ohio -- TA Restaurant Group has opened a Fazoli’s restaurant in its Oklahoma City West travel center. The location is the third unit operated by the group, a division of TravelCenters of America.

The growth is part of a partnership Fazoli’s brokered with TA Restaurant Group last spring to bring the brand to highway locations in Connecticut, Oklahoma, Texas and Michigan. The other two units are based in Southington, Conn., and San Antonio.

The restaurant seats 100 people and is open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., which is a slightly longer time frame than many Fazoli’s locations. The eatery will serve Italian dishes, baked pasta, pizza, sandwiches, salads, desserts and Fazoli’s unlimited garlic breadsticks.

On the heels of a brand refresh, the fast-casual restaurant chain ended December 2017 with a 5.1% increase in same-store sales and a 2.5% increase in guest traffic, according to the company. The chain has eight openings slated for the first two quarters of the year.

TravelCenters of America is based in Westlake, Ohio, with a presence in 43 states.
