TravelCenters of America Invites Customers to Vote for Best TA, Petro Restaurants, Servers

Accepting online ballots through January 3

WESTLAKE, Ohio -- TravelCenters of America LLC (TA) is asking all of its guests to identify the best TA and Petro Stopping Center sitdown, table-service restaurant locations and servers. Customers are asked to cast their votes through an online ballot at www.ta-petro.com/thebest. Votes will be accepted through midnight on January 3, 2012.

TravelCenters of America, operator of the TA and Petro Stopping Center-branded travel centers, is known in the industry for asking professional drivers their opinions on its full-service offering in order to provide the best amenities and conveniences while they are out on the road.

Last month, the company asked customers to nominate their favorite sitdown restaurants and servers. Nominations were tabulated, and 10 most nominated TA, as well as the top 10 Petro restaurants, have been named; 10 servers from each brand that received the most nominations have also been identified.

"Drivers have told us that TA and Petro have the best food and friendliest servers," said John Ponczoch, senior vice president of food operations at TravelCenters of America. "Now, we want to recognize those people and locations that go way above and beyond to make our guests feel at home on the road. We are asking our restaurant guests to help with this by voting."

In the fall of 2011, Overdrive magazine conducted its annual "Voted Best" survey. The results showed that drivers prefer TA and Petro over the next closest truckstop brand three to one in the best overall truckstop category. TA and Petro dominated the survey in 26 other categories, including best overall food four to one; friendliest restaurant staff four to one; best breakfast four to one; and best buffet five to one.

The winning restaurants and servers will be announced in February 2012.

TravelCenters of America, based in Westlake, Ohio, is a leading travel center business in 41 states and Canada operating under the TA and Petro Stopping Centers brands.
