Giant, Shell Team Up for Savings at the Pump

Points can be redeemed at participating Shell or Giant stations
HOUSTON & LANDOVER, Md. -- Shell Oil Products US and Giant Food of Landover, Md., a leading grocery chain in the Mid-Atlantic region, have teamed up to provide customers savings on fuel. Beginning on May 14, Giant and Shell customers in the Washington, D.C. and Baltimore metropolitan areas, and select cities in Delaware and Virginia north of Fredericksburg will be able to shop at their neighborhood Giant stores and save on fuel at participating Shell stations by using their Giant card. Points can also be redeemed at Giant gas stations.

For every 100 Giant Gas Rewards [image-nocss] points earned when shopping at Giant, customers can save 10 cents per gallon instantly on their next fuel purchase at more than 400 participating Shell stations, up to 35 gallons per purchase. Customers can save 10 cents, 20 cents, 30 cents or more per gallon at participating Shell stations.

"By teaming up, customers can earn savings on everyday purchases at Giant and redeem their Gas Rewards points for more savings at Shell stations on high-quality Shell Nitrogen Enriched Gasolines," said Dan Little, North America fuels marketing manager for Shell Oil Products US. "In today's economic times, it's more important than ever for companies like Shell and Giant to join forces to offer our customers optimum savings and rewards."

Customers earn one Gas Rewards point for every dollar spent at Giant stores with their Giant card. Gas Rewards points will automatically be added to a shopper's Giant card and will be reflected on the shopper's receipt and at the pump. In addition, customers can look online at the "My Giant" section atwww.GiantFood.com to check how many Gas Rewards points they have earned.

Customers may redeem their points at Giant stations and participating Shell stations by swiping their participating Giant card, manually entering their card number or by entering their alternate ID at the pump, which will instantly initiate the price drop.
