Hess in Fleet One Deal

Selects private-label commercial fleet fueling card partner
NEW YORK -- Hess Corp. has entered into a multi-year fleet services agreement with Fleet One LLC, a provider of fuel cards and fleet-related payment solutions. Fleet One will become the issuer and processor of Hess' private-labeled fleet-fueling card.

Hess, with headquarters in New York City, is one of the leading independent petroleum convenience store marketers on the U.S. East Coast with approximately 1,360 branded sites, serving customers from New Hampshire to Florida. Hess operates approximately 90% of its sites.

"The Hess brand and image have a tremendous reputation [image-nocss] in the industry," said Robert "Bert" Nix, Fleet One vice president of merchant acceptance. "We are honored that Hess has selected Fleet One to serve their base of commercial customers."

This new agreement focuses on the market growth of the Hess commercial fueling program. "We are dedicated to providing our commercial fleet customers a great experience, and we know Fleet One shares that commitment," said Rick Lawlor, vice president of retail marketing for Hess. "We look forward to Fleet One's initiative, capabilities and responsiveness to distinguish our fleet program in the eyes of our customers."

Fleet One provides fuel cards and fleet management solutions to businesses and government agencies, as well as the merchants that serve them. Customers use Fleet One fuel cards at convenience stores, truckstops and maintenance merchants across the country to capture purchasing data and pay for fuel and fleet maintenance on cars, vans and trucks of all classes and sizes. Fleet One solutions offer these additional services: private-label fuel card programs, real-time reporting, tax-exempt billing, vehicle tracking tools, electronic payment authorizations, billing and financial settlement. Nashville, Tenn.-based Fleet One is a division of Fleet One Holdings LLC, a portfolio company of LLR Partners and FTV Capital.
