NATSO, WPMA Partner on Trade Shows

Attendees invited to take advantage of both lineups

ALEXANDRIA, Va. & SALT LAKE CITY -- Seizing an unprecedented opportunity to tap into the power of partnership, NATSO, the national association representing truckstops and travel plazas, and the Western Petroleum Marketers Association (WPMA) announced they will share educational resources as well as business and networking opportunities for exhibitors and attendees at the NATSO Show and WPMA’s National Convention & Convenience Store Expo, both scheduled to be held in February in Las Vegas.

The NATSO Show will be held at Caesars Palace Feb. 18-22, 2012, offering innovative experts focused on ahead-of-the-curve trends, a knowledge-filled human library built for a customized learning experience, and exhibitors that showcase tomorrow’s hottest products and services, all designed to meet the unique needs of travel plaza and truckstop leaders.

WPMA’s National Convention & Convenience Store Expo will be held at the Mirage Convention Center Feb. 21-23, 2012. The Expo offers speakers and seminars, networking and access to more than 90,000 square feet of tradeshow space with exhibitors displaying and selling the latest in technology, c-store innovations, and truck and trailer displays to meet the needs of the petroleum industry.

By co-mingling two of the industry’s premier trade shows, this partnership connects those selling petroleum products to consumers with petroleum distributors, wholesalers and jobbers, as well as vendors across the industry. NATSO members and WPMA marketer members who register for one trade show automatically will be registered to attend the neighboring show at no additional cost. Each show will feature its own exhibit hall, as well as unique educational programming for attendees.

“Our mission is to create value for our members, so of course we are excited to be able to open up this brand new opportunity in Las Vegas for our attendees to learn and network,” said NATSO president and CEO Lisa Mullings. “We are extremely fortunate to be able to partner with such a respected organization.”

WPMA executive director Gene Inglesby welcomed the partnership opportunity.  “With NATSO, we’ll now have an even stronger platform for increasing the attendee value proposition for both events,” Inglesby said. “Attendees will benefit from a wide array of educational programming. Exhibitors at both shows will take advantage of the expanded marketing opportunity and additional traffic on the show floor.”

Truckstop and travel plaza operators can register for the two events by contacting Johnny Chan at natsoshow@natso.com or by calling (703) 549-2100. WPMA marketer members can register by contacting Jamie Wood at jamiew@wpma.com or by calling (888) 252-5550.

The NATSO Show is designed to be a resource for truckstop and travel plaza leaders. In Las Vegas, the NATSO Show will focus sharply on the unique needs of key contributors to the truckstop and travel-plaza industry, connecting them with peers, business intelligence and game-changing products and technology.

The WPMA Tradeshow Convention, established 1953, provides resources for education, training and exchange of ideas to petroleum marketers, distributor, jobbers and convenience-store owner/operators and anyone in the primary business of selling petroleum products.
