Save Mart, S-Mart, Shell Team Up

Help central California customers earn fuel savings at the pump with fuel rewards
MODESTO, Calif. -- Save Mart Supermarkets and S-Mart Foods have announced that beginning May 9, customers who shop at any of its greater Sacramento-Modesto-Stockton, Calif., area stores using their new Save Mart or S-Mart Foods Reward Cards can now earn discounts on fuel redeemable at participating Shell stations.

The Save Mart and S-Mart Foods Rewards programs are free programs where consumers will earn Fuel Rewards simply by making qualified purchases at store locations. The Save Mart and S-Mart Foods Rewards programs are part of the Fuel Rewards Network, allowing Save [image-nocss] Mart and S-Mart Foods customers to redeem Fuel Rewards at more than 100 participating area Shell stations.

For every $50 in qualified purchases at Save Mart or S-Mart Foods using the new Save Mart or S-Mart Foods Rewards Cards, a 5-cents-per-gallon discount on fuel is earned and redeemable on a single fillup, up to 20 gallons of fuel per purchase. Additionally, Fuel Rewards are cumulative--the more shoppers spend, the more they earn. For example, if a customer spends $100, they will earn a 10-cents-per-gallon discount, if they spend $150, they earn a 15-cents-per-gallon discount, etc. Shoppers also do nothave to spend $50 in one transaction. Purchases are automatically tracked and each time the $50 threshold is met, another 5-cents-per-gallon discount on fuel is earned.

Customers can earn additional Fuel Rewards at 700 online merchant sites using Fuel Rewards Network (FRN) Online Shopping. Earn 5 cents, 10 cents, 50 cents or more per gallon for every $50 spent online, available at www.fuelrewards.com. The Fuel Rewards Network is operated by Excentus Corp., a retail marketing coalition specializing in fuel-based reward programs.

Customers may redeem their Fuel Rewards at participating Shell stations by inserting their new Save Mart or S-Mart Foods Rewards Cards at the pump, which will initiate the fuel savings. Fuel Rewards expire on the last day of the month immediately following the month they were earned.

Save Mart Supermarkets, Modesto, Calif., owns and operates more than 240 stores in Northern California and Northern Nevada under the Save Mart, S-Mart Foods, Lucky, Maxx Value Foods and FoodMaxx banners.
