Parker's presents Monster electric guitar to winner of June contest

SAVANNAH, Ga. -- Parker's recently presented a brand new Monster electric guitar to Gregg Geiger of Pooler, Ga. The 50-year-old father won the Parker's June Text Contest. "This guitar has definitely found a good home," said Geiger. "I love music and my daughter plays guitar."

Geiger entered the contest after spotting a poster at Parker's about the chance to win a Monster guitar. The monthly contest encourages customers to text a specific number to automatically enter the giveaway. All area Parker's stores promoted the contest, as did the company's social media channels.

Parker's is currently conducting a July Gas Giveaway, offering the chance to win $50 in free gasoline every day throughout the month. Beginning in August, the company will offer rotating prizes and merchandise as part of the ongoing Parker's Text Contest.

"This is just one of many ways we want to reward our customers for their loyalty," said Greg Parker, president and CEO of The Parker Cos., Savannah, Ga. "We truly appreciate our customers and enjoy finding creative ways to give back to express our gratitude."

Parker's also offers the PumpPal program, which saves customers up to 10 cents on every gallon of gasoline purchased at any of the company's 27 retail locations. Since the program at Parker's first launched in February of 2011, the company has saved 50,000 PumpPal members nearly $2 million on gasoline, it said.

Parker's currently operates 27 convenience stores across the region and plans to open additional stores in Chatham, Liberty, Effingham, Bulloch, Jasper and Beaufort counties. Parker's operates 27 convenience stores located in six counties throughout southeast Georgia and South Carolina selling Parker's proprietary brand gasoline.
