Thorntons Offers Special Fuel Savings

Customers saved 10 cents per gallon with debit card, PIN
LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Thorntonsof Fridayoffered customers instant savings of 10 cents per gallon when they purchase fuel with their debit card, and enter their four-digit personal identification number (PIN).

This special fuel offer was valid for one day only, June 10, and took place at all Louisville, Ky., and southern Indiana store locations.

"This promotion allows consumers to fill up and save when using their debit card," said Matt Thornton, president and chief executive officer of Thorntons. "Consumers have faced high gasoline prices for several months, and this [image-nocss] will allow them to save money, just in time for the busy summer driving season."

Customers do not have to sign up or register to receive the discount on their fuel purchase, and the savings discount applies to all grades of fuel, which vary by location, with a 30-gallon maximum limit.

The company is also running a Father's Day photo contest. Customers who post a picture of themselves and their father on Thorntons' Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/thorntonsinc, will be entered to win a $100 egift card.
