VP's Pink Motorsport Containers Net $2,695 for Charity

Also introduces 2013 calendar, poster

SAN ANTONIO -- VP Racing Fuels Inc. said that donations to the Prevent Cancer Foundation in conjunction with sales of pink VP Motorsport Containers have reached $2,695. This amount is in addition to an auction bid of $2,000 given to the foundation last month for a pink container autographed by three top NHRA drivers.

VP also announced that the pink containers will be made available as a regular stock item and donations to the foundation will continue with each sale.

"Our original intent was to offer the pink containers as a 'special edition' only during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, but due to their popularity, we decided to extend production to generate additional contributions," said Alan Cerwick, president of VP Racing Fuels.

"Going forward, we'll donate $2.50 to the Prevent Cancer Foundation with each sale of a pink container, while during each Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we'll double that to $5 per container as we did this year." he said. "In the spirit of the upcoming holidays, we hope the pink containers will be viewed as the ideal gift--meeting a need among the race fans in your family while also providing a gift to a great cause."

Meanwhile, VP Racing Fuels has introduced two new promotional posters for 2013. They include its traditional VP calendar along with a new illustrated "Pit Crew Pin-Up" poster, both of which are available online.

Over the years VP's annual calendars have become a sought-after collector's item, the company said, decorating the walls of garages, pits and other work spaces with photographs of beautiful female models. The 2013 calendar is no exception. It features Jennifer Gonzalez, an avid race fan as well as former Miss Taiwan USA, actress and cover model for FHM and other national magazines.

"We're very pleased to have Jennifer as our 2013 calendar model and spokesperson," said Cerwick. "We had the pleasure of working with Jennifer at two recent trade shows in the VP Racing Fuels booth and found her personality and wit as appealing as her beauty."

While VP's calendar features photography, VP's new "Pit Crew Pin-Up" poster tapped the talents of Midwest-based artist, Jennifer Janesko, who's work has been displayed in galleries around the country, in magazines such as Maxim and Playboy and in feature films and on TV.

For VP's Pit Crew Pin-Up poster, Janesko rendered a stylized female image with a VP-themed retro look in homage to iconic pinup posters of the past. The painting was conceived in the context of VP's recently launched retail branding program and its expansion into consumer market segments.

"In talking with petroleum distributors and C-store owners about our retail branding program, we emphasize that VP is not an oil company or large refiner, so we don't have to act like one," said Cerwick. "That plays out in the manner in which we serve our customers as well as our marketing strategy. Our Pit Crew Pin-Up poster is a perfect example of marketing materials a conservative oil company could never consider."

VP Racing Fuels is a leader in race fuel technology, fueling champions in virtually every form of motorsports on land, sea and air since 1975. VP is the Official Racing Fuel of NHRA Championship Drag Racing, American Le Mans, World of Outlaws Sprint Cars and Late Model Series and Rally America, among more than 60 VP-sponsored series and sanctioning bodies.
