Supermarket and convenience-store retailer Giant Eagle opened its newly constructed WetGo car wash location in the Pittsburgh suburb of Franklin Park.
“We’re so excited to celebrate the opening of our newest WetGo Car Wash here in Franklin Park,” said Brandon Daniels, senior public relations manager. The new location has five employees and the grand opening is “designed to celebrate this community that’s welcomed us with open arms.”
The new car wash is not attached to a Giant Eagle GetGo Café + Market convenience-store location, but instead is the retailer’s fifth standalone WetGo, Daniels told CSP. The company now operates 47 WetGo locations.
The "bubble-bursting" ceremony held Feb. 15 to 19 included five days of free showroom washes and the opportunity to sign up for an unlimited wash program for $9.99 per month for the first three months.
- Giant Eagle’s Convenience Division is No. 31 on CSP’s 2023 Top 202 ranking of c-store chains by store count.
GetGo opened its first car-wash location in 2020 and last month opened a location in the Cleveland suburb of Parma Heights.
Giant Eagle operates 270 GetGo convenience stores throughout western Pennsylvania, Ohio, northern West Virginia, Maryland and Indiana.
