ExtraMile Milestone: 800th Site

Planning to open 600 more locations by 2027

SAN RAMON, Calif. -- ExtraMile Convenience Stores LLC has opened the 800th ExtraMile c-store, located in West Covina, Calif. The company—a joint venture between Chevron USA Inc. and Jacksons Food Stores in the western United States—plans to grow to 1,400 ExtraMile sites nationwide by 2027.

“This is a significant milestone in the ExtraMile growth story,” said Paul Casadont, president of ExtraMile, San Ramon, Calif. “With our network now comprising more than 800 c-stores in California, Oregon and Washington, more consumers can experience our world-class c-store experience and enjoy our product offerings and fantastic customer service.”

G&M Oil Co. LLC operates the West Covina store. G&M Oil has grown to become one of ExtraMile’s largest franchisees. It owns and operates 153 Chevron- and Texaco-branded sites, including 118 ExtraMile locations across California, and employs more than 1,100 people.

“We’ve been working with Chevron, their quality fuels and the ExtraMile brand for years,” said George J. Pearson, general manager and vice president of G&M Oil. “We are looking forward to building out every Chevron-branded location in our network to the ExtraMile format over the next decade.”

Founded in 1969, Huntington Beach, Calif.-based G&M Oil is a c-store fuel retailer with locations in California, including in Orange, Los Angeles, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Diego, Ventura, Solano, Santa Clara, Alameda and San Francisco counties. G&M Oil is No. 47 in CSP's 2018 Top 202 ranking.

Jacksons Food Stores Inc., also doing business as Jackson Energy, is a Meridian, Idaho-based convenience retailer with more than 230 company-operated locations in six Western states. Jacksons is No. 36 in CSP's 2018 Top 202 ranking.

Chevron USA Inc. is a subsidiary of San Ramon-based Chevron Corp., which explores for, produces and transports crude oil and natural gas and refines, markets and distributes transportation fuels and lubricants.
