Supermarket, convenience-store and gasoline retailer Hy-Vee Inc.has joined Iowa Total Care to offer shopping rewards for members practicing healthy habits.

Starting in December, members of Iowa Total Care, a provider of Medicaid healthcare coverage in Iowa and a wholly owned subsidiary of Centene Corp., can spend in store their My Health Pay rewards at all Hy-Vee and Dollar Fresh Market grocery stores and Hy-Vee Fast & Fresh convenience stores in Iowa.

Partnering with an Iowa-based company like Hy-Vee is extra special, said Iowa Total Care Plan President and CEO Mitch Wasden. Encouraging members to earn rewards for healthy behaviors and promoting preventative care is the goal, and we hope the extra incentives while shopping at their local Hy-Vee will serve as an exciting added benefit.

This isn’t the first partnership Iowa-based Hy-Vee has had with Iowa Total Care. In January Hy-Vee worked alongside Iowa Total Care to distribute 42,540 pieces of fresh, free produce to more than 2,000 Iowans facing food insecurity.

  • Hy-Vee Inc. is No. 44 on CSP’s 2023 Top 202 list of U.S. convenience stores by store count.

West Des Moines, Iowa-based Hy-Vee operates more than more than 285 retail stores including 180 Hy-Vee Fast & Fresh locations throughout eight Midwestern states.
