Opening Is Grand for Reimagined Dash In Store, Menu
By Chuck Ulie on Mar. 29, 2023The first of Dash In’s “third-generation” convenience-store concept, which it said reimagines the c-store experience and boasts a new menu, opened in Chantilly, Virginia, on March 3 and held its grand opening March 31.
“The menu reinforces Dash In’s commitment to offering wholesome food made on site, using simple, fresh ingredients,” said Dash In, owned by La Plata, Maryland-based Wills Group. “The first of its kind for Dash In, the location introduces a store experience that invites guests to linger, with the all-new store featuring both in-store seating and an outdoor patio.”

The 5,600-square-foot store has 17 fueling positions and a newly branded Splash In ECO Car Wash.

Burgers
Dash In fresh-made, craft-made burgers are part of the c-store's commitment to a fresh and elevated menu. For a limited time, Dash In and celebrity chef Spike Mendelsohn have partnered to present the Spike Burger. Other burgers include the Double and the Smokehouse (pictured), featuring carnitas, fried onions, barbecue sauce and cheese. An Impossible Burger is available as a substitute for any burger.
Salads
The Southwest Steak main course salad (pictured) features griddled shaved ribeye steak on mixed greens with roasted corn, poblano chiles, black beans, fajita cheese, tomatoes and crispy tortilla strips. Other main course salads include the Crispy Chicken Cobb and Kitchen Bowls such as La Cocina and Veggie Power. A reconfigured chicken salad that previously used chunk chicken now uses shredded chicken.
“It gives it a better flavor profile and a different mouthfeel,” said Ben Lucky, senior category manager for foodservice at Dash In. “It shows that we’re willing to make some changes. And there were some modest changes to the recipe as well that speak to the whole chicken movement.”
Breakfast
Dash In’s all-day breakfast menu includes breakfast sandwiches made with fresh-cracked eggs. The new Dash In features baked-in-house croissants and biscuits, with egg whites and Impossible Sausage available as substitutions. Pictured is an all-day breakfast sandwich with tots on the side.
Baked Goods
The new Dash In all-day breakfast menu features fresh-made biscuits, croissants, fried in-house mini doughnuts and other baked goods.
Stackadillas
Popular menu items such as the Stackadilla, Dash In’s upscale quesadilla line, are also available and now can be paired with fresh-made potato chips, baked goods and signature drinks, milkshakes and smoothies. Pictured is the Buffalo Chicken Stackadilla. Dash In also created three new Stackadillas for this new store: Chicken Bacon Ranch, Roasted Veggies and Steak Fajita, Lucky said.
Dispensed Beverages
A tap wall gives customers the opportunity to choose from a range of all-day craft beverage selections. Choices include sweet black tea, unsweet black tea, cold brew coffee and peach black tea.
